In short, as little as possible. We have limited space on the support boat and a lot of it will be taken up with catering gear and food so please try to keep your pack light.

There are however a few essentials:

Tent - Keep it light and easy to erect and dismantle. Remember, you are going to be putting it up every night and taking it down every morning. If you are travelling with a friend, or are happy to share then one between two will be fine. Let us know if you'd like to tent share and we'll find you a tent buddy.

Roll mat - try to avoid air beds as they are bulky, heavy and need a pump. If you must bring an airbed then let us know and we may be able to provide a small electric pump for everyone.

Sleeping Bag - with liner if possible to keep you extra warm

Pillow case - no need for a pillow, you can stuff it with clothes to bulk it out at night.

Clothing
- Warm weather gear - shorts, t-shirts
- Cold/wet weather gear - fleece, waterproof jacket, waterproof overtrousers. If you have access to a wetsuit, bring one just in case the British weather does it's worst.
- Evening clothes - another set to keep warm in should your others get wet during the day
2 pairs of shoes, day shoes - light and non critical (they will get wet), night shoes
sun hat

swimwear

Eating gear

Cutlery
Plastic 'glass'
Mug for hot drinks - something a bit insulated is a good idea, tea gets cold fast outdoors.

Plate and bowl - plastic or metal

Water bottle - this will hold your water or drink for the day, so 2 litres would be good.

Suncream
Insect repellent
Wash things/cosmetics
Torch
Zip loc bags - large - to keep stuff waterproof during the day

fingerless gloves - Optional, but they might prevent the small possibility of blisters on your hands. Neoprene ones might be an idea

A small towel
- no big towels, there won't be room

A straight slotted screwdriver - for putting your canoe together

A really big pump action water pistol

A sponge (bailing out boat)

15-20’ of cord, does everything from tying up boats, repairs, washing line

Really importantly, don't bring too much stuff. There is limited space in the support boat and if everyone brings too much stuff then it will sink!

We reserve the right to leave stuff behind if we feel that you have brought too much. So don't..... really.
