Getting to Marston Meysey PDF Print E-mail

To be honest, Marston Meysey is not the easiest place to get to without a car, which is what will make your arrival all the more satisfying.

The nearest place with any public transport links is Cricklade, which is just a few miles to the West. The easiest way to get to Cricklade is to first get the train to Swindon, they run from London, Bristol and beyond. From there you'll need to get the bus. Buses from Swindon are with Thamesdown: No 53 or with Stagecoach : No 51 . They both run from the Swindon Bus Station which is conveniently placed just outside the train station.

Once you are in Cricklade you have a couple of options. You could walk, though unless you really fancy a long walk on a summer's evening I wouldn't recommend it. Alternatively you could get a cab with a few of your fellow participants. In order to arrange this with one of Swindon's many cab firms it would be a good idea to post a message on the messageboard asking for a cab buddy or two. You could then synchronise train and bus times, book a cab together and share the cab money.

We may be running a shuttle service to the campsite from Cricklade but we're not sure at this stage so try to make your own arrangements.
